Subscriptions are valid only for productions scheduled for the subscription series chosen.

A subscriber who cannot attend a performance can request to have his/her seat made available to  be sold again by the box office provided he/she gives the box office notice to that effect at least ten days in advance. We kindly ask our subscribers to be aware that the resale of the seats can only be offered after all the other available seats have been sold by the Box Office at their normal price and the number of events chosen. In case the seat is actually sold, the subscriber can opt for obtaining a refund, amounting to 60% of the price of the event not attended, calculated as a single installment proportional to the subscription price. The subscriber will be duly informed of the sale of his/her seat.

Otherwise, a subscriber can choose to attend a performance of the same production during another subscriber series, provided he/she gives notice by fax at least three days in advance. Please be aware that the seats at disposal for such an exchange, according to their actual availability, will be limited to the family circle, gallery and side boxes. The cost for this service is € 1.00.

Under special production circumstances and for exclusively technical reasons, the Fenice reserves the right to replace a subscriber’s seat with another one of equal value.

In the event that a performance is totally cancelled, a proportional share of a subscriber’s subscription will be refunded to him/her at the box office. Whenever, upon subscriber request, such a refund is made in a different way, the Fenice reserves the right to charge the subscriber for any expenses incurred.

The box office cannot issue any copy of the subscription ticket. In case of loss or theft, the admission right can only be recovered by submitting a relevant police report or a self-certification deemed acceptable by the Fenice administration.

All areas of the Fenice are accessible for people with physical disabilities.

By leaving a message and phone number on the Courtesy Answering Machine, subscribers will be called back between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. from Monday to Friday. They will receive answers to questions regarding, for example, their subscriptions, Fenice events and other services.

By sending a fax to the number listed above, subscribers can request to attend a performance in a series not subscribed for (following the procedure described above in the relevant paragraph 3).
Moreover, according to the above-mentioned procedure (para. 3), a subscriber deciding not to attend an event included in his/her subscription can opt for obtaining a refund; this latter will amount to 60% of the price of the event not attended, calculated as a single installment proportional to the subscription price (and the number of events chosen.).
Finally, subscribers can request through this same service any other assistance (regarding, for instance, the loss of a subscription card, purchase of other seats, information, etc.).

Reductions in Parking Garage San Marco (Piazzale Roma)

By exhibiting subscription ticket of the La Fenice Theatre at the ticket office of the Garage San Marco at Piazzale Roma, our customers can benefit from a promotional rate of € 12 from 14.00 to 04.00 hours. All day € 21.

For the parking service reservation is required, subject to availability of seats, either calling at least 24 hours in advance before the beginning of the show at (+39) 041 5232213 or write to

It is necessary to show the subscription ticket before payment at check-out at the Garage.

HOW to buy

WARNING

The Fenice Administration strongly advises its customers to avoid buying tickets through unauthorized agencies (especially on-line) since some cases of tickets sold at increased prices have been discovered.

The Fenice Administration declines any responsibility for any occurrence or inconvenience, which may result from the characteristics, quality and prices of the tickets that are not rightfully purchased via the authorized distribution channels specified in the following list or on our official website.

In case of variations, La Fenice will take care and do everything possible to duly inform its customers. On their part our customers are kindly requested to keep themselves informed about any possible changes. Substitutions of interpreters and program as well as variations of the play, do not entitle to a refund of the ticket.

The purchase of tickets for scheduled performances can be made by sending a request by fax to (+39) 041 27 22 673. Requests received before tickets are officially put on sale will not be considered. Requests will be accepted in the order they arrive.

Request must contain:
- Date, time and name of performance;
- Section and number of seats requested;
- Customer’s name, address, telephone number and (not mandatory) e-mail address;
- Authorization to charge the purchase to the credit card provided, indicating the type of card, number and expiry date;

By connecting to the official website www.teatrolafenice.it and following the link “BUY”, tickets can be purchased for different representations with a surcharge of 10% for the service.

ACCESSIBILITY AND RESERVED SEATS

The access with a wheelchair is granted in all sectors of La Fenice Theater and the stalls area of the Malibran Theater. At La Fenice Theater two seats of the stalls and four in other areas are available (subject to availability), for disabled customers availing themselves of wheelchairs, whereas at Malibran Theater four seats of the stalls are reserved under the same conditions.

At the moment of purchase of their ticket, all customers intending to avail themselves of these opportunities are kindly requested to indicate whether they would be using a wheelchair or else if they would be needing a seat close to their assistant, by sending a fax to (+39) 041 786 580 or an email to info@teatrolafenice.org The price for a 100% disabled customer and his assistant corresponds to a ticket free of charge and one at full price. The Theater Management reserves the right to change for technical reasons the number of seats available under the above-mentioned conditions.

GENERAL NOTICE FOR CUSTOMERS

Changes and modifications
The Fenice Administration reserves the right to make any change regarding the seats purchased by any customer whether subscriber or standard. Moreover, the Administration reserves the right to bring about any change to the programme, date or schedule that should be deemed necessary for artistic and technical reasons or extenuating circumstances. To this effect the relevant communication will, in any case, be provided by on-line news or press release.

Ticket validity
The tickets are valid exclusively to attend the performance specified therein. Whenever the tickets are not used, they are neither refundable nor substitutable.

All prices published in the present programme include their relative taxes and charges. In case of purchase by phone or online an additional charge of 10% will be applied from 5€ to maximum 20€.

The ticket office cannot issue any copy of the tickets. In case of their loss, another ticket shall be purchased anew.

In the event of cancellation of a performance, the corresponding tickets shall be presented intact in all their parts within 10 days from the day of the cancelled event to one the Ticket Offices of the Fenice Opera House, Piazzale Roma, Mestre. These Offices will proceed to refund according to timing and modalities duly communicated if necessary.

Minors
Considering that children younger than 6 years of age could find it difficult to maintain their concentration during the whole length of a performance, in the best interest of our all customers and audience the Fenice Administration reserves the right to request their parents or attendants to leave with their children in case of excessive noise.

Behavior at Theatre
The admission inside the Opera House is allowed starting from 45 minutes before the beginning of a performance. Access to the stalls is forbidden once the performance has started. In case of late arrival, any latecomer will be accompanied to his seat during the first intermission.

During the intermissions the restart of the performance will be announced by an acoustic signal, warning all spectators twice, respectively 10 and 5 minutes before the end of the intermission, so that they can return to their seats on time.

The Fenice Administration kindly reminds its customers and audience that they are supposed to have their tickets or subscription certificates always with them, as these titles must be promptly shown at any request of the Opera House staff, responsible for control.

Our customers and audience are kindly requested to occupy only their assigned seats. Out of respect for the musicians and for other customers and listeners, also considering that many performances are broadcasted live on the radio and on television, our audience is kindly requested to keep a respectful behavior and not to disturb the performance in any way.

It is forbidden to put coats, jacket as well as any other garment on the parapet railings, onto the seat backs, as well as on other seats occasionally empty. The Fenice Opera House provides a free cloakroom service.

The Fenice Administration declines any liability the loss or damage occurred to objects or personal belongings left unattended inside the Opera House. In case of loss of a personal belonging, our customer can contact the n.  041 786590 from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 13.00.

It is forbidden to use mobile phones inside the Opera House, particularly inside the stalls, the boxes and generally at any of the spectators or listeners seats and position. We kindly request anyone wearing a smartwatch to deactivate or mute its acoustic signal as well.

It is forbidden to use any photographic equipment inside the Opera House whether with or without the flashlight. Moreover it is strictly forbidden to take any kind of recording, whether audio or video.
According to Law N. 584/1975 it is forbidden to smoke inside every area of the Opera House.

Miscellaneous
In order to allow everyone to follow the story, each Opera performance will be enacted with the assistance of the display of the English translation for the whole “libretto”.

The Theatre Administration, according to Legislative Decree 196/2003, guarantees the privacy of personal data and undertakes to limit their use exclusively for the communications relating to activities of the Fenice Opera House itself.

An hour before each performance representation, tickets still available will be offered on sale at a “last minute” price.

The purchase of each ticket as well as the subscriptions, entails the acceptance of all the rules and conditions specified above.

Dress code
On the Opening Season it would be recommendable wearing black tie (tuxedo).
On the other premiere ladies need to wear a black dress, gentlemen jacket and tie.
On the other night events button-down, shirt and jeans are allowed.
On the afternoon performances dress code is fairly relaxed, smart-casual but, PLEASE, people wearing shorts or sleeveless T-shirts will not be allowed inside the auditorium; in this case, tickets will not be reimbursed.

Shop
La Fenice Opera House Shop, located in the Foyer on the ground floor, offers a large assortment of CDs, DVDs, books about music, articles and gifts branded “Teatro La Fenice”, making it a unmissable shopping opportunity for opera lovers and not. The Shop is open daily from 9.30 am to 6.00 pm and during performances until the first intermission.

Cafeteria
The Fenice Cafeteria greets our visitors, customers and spectators in the beautiful Apollinean rooms and in the renovated spaces of the Foyer, becoming a pleasant meeting place where to taste a wide selection of products and have a drink. The cafeteria is open during visits and performances.

Opening Times: Tuesday-Sunday; from 10.00am - 4.00pm

Closed on Mondays The cafeteria in the Foyer is only open during the performances.

Guided tours
Tours will allow visitors to discover the secrets of the Opera House and its protagonists, while learning about its history from the origins to the present.

The Opera House can be visited everyday with an audio guide service or with an expert guide.

The Opera House is generally open for visits every day from 9.30am to 6pm, though variations in the schedule may occur for artistic or technical reasons.
