L’Antidote, a trio featuring Albanian cellist Redi Hasa, Iranian percussion master Bijan Chemirani, and Lebanese pianist Rami Khalifé, brings together three leading figures on the international scene in a project of remarkable poetic and instrumental elegance. Their music, suspended between jazz, world music, improvisation, and Middle Eastern influences, gives shape to a sonic antidote capable of countering the poisons of our time with listening, beauty, and imagination.

DESCRIPTION

L’Antidote was born by the collaboration of three virtuoso musicians, each with a distinct artistic background but united by a shared vision of music as a space for healing, connection, and transformation. Redi Hasa, known for his work in reviving and reinventing the traditional music of Southern Italy and for his collaborations with Maria Mazzotta, Ludovico Einaudi, and Robert Plant, makes the cello sing with a voice that is at times minimalist, at times baroque, and at times tormented. Bijan Chemirani, a master of the Iranian zarb and Persian percussion, weaves together jazz metrics, Mediterranean rhythms, and Eastern wisdom into a highly refined rhythmic language. Rami Khalifé, a Lebanese pianist and composer, effortlessly blurs the boundaries between classical training, contemporary composition, and electronic music
