Larreal – Laboratori coreografici
del Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma
España is a show made up of four choreographies all on the theme of Spanish dance, both popular and cultured. The Escuela Flamenca will be presented ‘purged’ of all tourist-contemporary ‘interferences,’ returning to its original form, characterised by Arab, Byzantine and Gypsy influences. This will be followed by the Escuela Bolera, to which we owe the rich repertoire of dances, some of which have now become society dances. And then there is the classic Spanish dance, which has its own principles. The evening will close with a choreography that offers an intelligent and spectacular fusion of the three schools. The guest company this evening, the Larreal Company, is part of the Royal Professional Conservatory of Dance – Mariemma, one of the most important academies in Spain.
