NOTE
The New Year’s Concert from La Fenice, as usual, presents a two-part musical programme: the first part is orchestral only and the second part is opera, with a selection of arias, duets and choral pieces played by soloists and La Fenice Choir. Every year the Concert ends with two celebrated works by Giuseppe Verdi, masterpieces of the Italian musical heritage: the Chorus “Va’ pensiero sull’ali dorate” from Nabucco and the joyful “Libiam ne’ lieti calici” from La Traviata.
