Il Barbiere di Siviglia

Opera by Gioachino Rossini in two acts, he not only became the most famous of the Pesaro composer, but also the opera buffa par excellence.
This Barber of Seville, although at first sight it may appear antiquated, perfectly recreates the setting of a staging in any italian theather of the early nineteenth century.
An era in which the glorius tradition of popular comedy, a direct descendant of the sixteenth-century “comedy of art”, was very much alive and the singers entertained the public with a direct and very engaging comedy.
The direction of Bepi Morassi testifies how important the patrimony that the theatrical genre based on the improvisation of the actor, who comes from the people and needs to communicate to the common people, images that concern social life, using colorful costumes, is important, musical instruments and masks modeled according to the prototypes of the then society.
The humor that triumphs here with all its immediacy and authenticity, makes this Barber of Seville a pleasant and fun visual and musical experience.
