Kremerata Baltica
Founded in 1997 by the renowned violinist Gidon Kremer, the chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica, a Grammy Award–winning ensemble, is regarded as one of Europe’s most important international groups. Gidon Kremer deliberately selected young, highly talented musicians with the aim of moving beyond conventional notions of orchestral music-making. Its wide-ranging repertoire, spanning from early music to contemporary works, has received enthusiastic acclaim from audiences and reflects a new level of chamber music, where solid technique is combined with a highly expressive musical language.
